THE HARRISON’S WORKWEAR STORY Danny and Emily Harrison have been in the retail business for over thirty years. On November 15, 1999, they opened the first Harrison’s Workwear in Mauldin, South Carolina. This store opened with boots and shoes only. Harrison’s has since grown from a one brand boot and shoe store into a workwear business that carries all major brands.One month into this business, Danny contacted Carhartt ® in an attempt to become a dealer. After many “discussions,” the Carhartt® sales representative agreed to open Harrison’s as an account. The rest is history. They have become one of Carhartt’s® premiere accounts in nine short years. How did they do this? They did this by providing a large inventory of quality Carhartt® products at affordable prices. They now carry the largest selection in the Carolinas.In 2001, Danny and Emily’s Son-In-Law, Patrick Maguire joined the team. According to many of Harrison’s suppliers and customers, Patrick has become a top-tier boot salesman. He studies the boots and sells only the products he believes in. Danny tells the sales-reps, “You gotta convince Patrick.” Our son, Kevin, has been an integral part of the success of Harrison’s. From running our Traveler’s Rest store to establishing our website, Kevin has made major contributions to our business. Along the way we had two more excellent boot salesmen come on board. Mitch Jessup and Charles Weathers have many years experience in the boot business. Danny, Emily and Patrick have full confidence in both of these fine men. Jason Thompson is a nephew to Danny and Emily. His main responsibility is inventory control. Jason will also be setting up our online business. He is a valuable part of our Business. Carol Miller has worked with the Harrison Family since the early 90’s. Carol’s expertise is in the clothing line. She knows our products and can provide a pleasurable shopping experience for our customers. The latest additions to the Harrison Workwear family are Margaret Howell, Patricia Burgess and Travis Roberts. They are ready and willing to serve our customers in the purchase of our quality products. Harrison’s workwear has added Dickies ® and Wrangler® clothing to our line. Dickies® is a leader in the workwear business. Wrangler® is leading us into the western wear business. We decided to expand this department after many requests from our loyal customers.Our latest venture is a full-time shoe truck. Lee Cooper brings years of experience to this division of Harrison's. We have accounts established with many companies in the upstate. Danny and Emily would like to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported them over the last 9 years. We also welcome and appreciate our newest customers who are just beginning the Harrison's Workwear experience. Finally, Danny and Emily would like to thank our associates.
